The Sierra de Cazorla region is located
in the southeast of the province of Jaén . It borders on The Sierra
de Segura in the northeast, in the northwest on La Loma and Las Villas, in
the southwest on Sierra Mágina and in the south and southeast it borders
on the province of Granada. It has an area of 134037 hectares and it is composed
of the villages of Cazorla, Chilluevar, Hinojares, Huesa, La Iruela, Peal
de Becerro, Pozo Alcón, Quesada and Santo Tomé, together with
many hamlets which are located along a impressive geography crowned with the
saws of Cazorla, Quesada, el Pozo and La Cabrilla.

Latitude: North, it comes near the diagonal Pozo-Hornos
(37º 42´and 38º 13´) and whose longitude refers
to the diagonal Santiago-Quesada (2º33´and 3º 4´)

From 360 meters (Puente de la Cerrada) to 2107 m.( Sierra de
la Cabrilla)

From
Madrid. The main axe is formed by the motorway of Andalusia
or N-IV (Madrid-Cadiz) which, through the N-322 (Córdoba-Valencia)
connects the area with Western Andalusia and the rest of communities. The
entry to Andalusia is across the Natural Park of Despeñaperros, following
towards Bailén, where we take the N-322, direction Linares and Úbeda
up to Torreperogil. Here we will follow the road A-315 on the right, direction
to Peal de Becerro, and from there by the A-319 up to Cazorla and La Iruela
or following the A-315 to Quesada, Huesa, Hinojares and Pozo Alcón.
From
Andalusia, Murcia and Alicante. For those visitors who
come from the southeast of Andalusia, Mucia and Alicante, they will have access
by the motorway A-92 up to the proximities of Baza, where it connects with
the A-315 which goes up to Pozo Alcón, Quesada, and Peal de Becerro.
Visitors from Almería and Granada have another possibility; going by
the A-320 through Iznalloz and Guadahortuna towards Jódar, and up to
Peal de Becerro by the road N-328.

train. In relation to railways, the nearest station is
Linares-Baeza (Telephone: 953-650202). From this place there are busses which
go to Linares and, directly to Úbeda and Cazorla with the company Graells.

bus. A daily service of busses of the company Alsina Graells(Telephone:
953752157) from Granada, Jaén , Úbeda and Linares to Cazorla,
to other villages of the Natural Park. In Cazorla, the company Carcesa offers
two daily departures ( with the exception of Sundays and feast days) to Coto
Rios (within the Natural Park) and two returns to Cazorla. To other villages
of the region, the links are done with the companies Muñoz Amezcua.

By
plain. By plain. The airports of Granada and Málaga
( the last one with connections with international flights) are the neares,
joining Málaga with Granada, and from here, directly by buses of Alsina
Graells with the Sierra de Cazorla region.

Taxi. In Cazorla, as well as in the rest of the villages
of the Natural Park there is a good service of taxis. In Cazorla, tasis are

From
Comunidad Valenciana. The
entry in the region by the N-322 from Albacete can be done too by the swerving
of Torreperogil, or before, in Villacarrillo in direction to Mogón,
up to Santo Tomé. From this plce by the JV-7101 up to Cazoirla, or
by going the JV-7102 towards Chilluevar.
