In 2002, producers of olive oil in the Sierra de Cazorla region promoted the creation of a company whose main objective is to combine forces in order to be able to offer a product of unique characteristics to connoisseur clients around the world.
The sector is located in Spain´s largest natural park, the Sierra de Cazorla, Segura y las Villas Natural Park. The Sierra de Cazorla “Denominación de Origen” quality control body oversees the olive oil production of the villages of Cazorla, Chilluevar, Hinojares, Huesa, La Iruela, Peal del Becerro, Pozo Alcón, Quesada and Santo Tomé, all located in the Park.

The “Aceite Jienense de Cazorla” olive oil company comprises six working oil presses which in conjunction represent:

Representing 80% of the total production in the area and working in close collaboration with the Sierra de Cazorla “Denominación de Origen” Regulating Council, the company “Aceite Jienense de Cazorla” selects and offers the highest quality oil made from the fruit of the mountain olive tree varieties, the Royal Cazorla olive tree and the Picual olive tree
